Please also be informed that:
  • Please note that the flash programmer tool seen on our website cannot be used for installing the tune on EcoDiesel ECUs. This application is bench flash only.
  • New ECMs from Mopar are blank: there is no software flashed inside and these ECMs are not capable to run the engine/vehicle as-is. They must be configured first.
  • If mailing in an ECM for tuning that is blank or not the original from your vehicle, a $150 setup fee applies to have the necessary steps performed before tuning can be done
  • Blank ECMs or one not from your vehicle returned for the core deposit will be assessed the same $150 setup fee

Ecodiesel customers opting for the exchange program must return the stock ecm from customer vehicle within 21 days in order to receive the full core deposit refund. After that, the core return value is decreased by $50 per week starting from day 22 after the delivery date.

Best thing I ever did for my 2014 ED truck. Should have done it a lot sooner. Saved me thousands when the dealer told me that my DEF tank sensor was bad and I need to replace the tank for 3K! This is after Ram put over 8K in it in warranty work since I bought it. Don't wait, get it now. Save yourself unneeded wear on the motor and trips to the dealer with CEL's. GDE is very responsive to any questions you may have.

After driving a Dodge Ram H.O. 5.9 diesel for 14 years I decided to buy a new 2018 ED. I liked it until I put this GDE hot tune on. Now this tune has unlocked the beast of this small 3.0. The difference is immediate. Best money spent. Customer service is awesome. Next up is the ED trans tune.

My only regret is not purchasing this tune sooner. You truly don't realize how bad this motor performs stock until you install the GDE ECM. Everything was straightforward and easy with the purchase and install. If you want something to help you make the decision to purchase, just take your EGR tube loose and check out what is going into your intake. Thanks for everything!

I have absolutely zero complaints with this tune, and I have seen great response from it. I have a 2015 Longhorn crew cab with the 6.4' short bed 4x4, and I have had a great fuel economy response out of the truck. I went from getting an average of 26 MPG before the tune, and that has improved to nearly 31 MPG on the highway. I recently drove the truck on a 830 mile trip on the interstate with varying inclines, running 75-77 MPH essentially the whole trip and the truck got 27.7 MPG overall with a bed full of gear. I did opt for the EGR and the DPF delete tune, which may help, but it is worth the extra money. The tune has been a great improvement for the truck (especially with getting rid of the throttle lag) and was a quick, easy install. Even my old man, who drives a 2018 Cummins, has been impressed with the difference this tune has given the truck. Highly recommend this tune, and definitely recommend the Off Road Tune, it is well worth the money.

After a summer of use I have no idea what the hype is with this tune. If it wasn't for maybe seeing the truck hold 8th gear longer and being able to set the cruise at a lower speed I wouldn't even be able to tell a difference, even with that I'm not sure I got a differently tuned ECM. MPG never changed. Still 21 to 22 with my driving habits.

I had an issue with errors and codes after installing the ECM but GDE helped through email during after hours. It ended up being a bad connection. I reset the plugs into the ECM and all worked well. I have not driven a whole lot since installation but my mileage definitely went up and acceleration seems more spirited. The biggest bang I am looking for is less soot going into the intake. GREAT support from GDE.
