Just a quick initial review of the Green Diesel Eco tune for the 2006 BRM model jetta. The car has 200,000 miles on it. The cam lasted until 200k and then it finally gave out. We replaced it with a Colt Stage 2 cam and after I finally got the torsion value set to 0 I purchased the ECO/Hot tunes from Green Diesel for the car. I have purchased tunes for my diesel Jeep liberty from Green diesel in the past and had always received exceptional service which is why I chose them after researching tunes for the 2006 PD motor. The first long trip on the car was 90% hwy driving and 10% city driving and involved several cold starts. When I say cold starts I mean the car sat over night and the temperature the next morning was -5 degrees Fahrenheit. The car started well which is always important and the round trip distance from the pump and back to the same pump was 499 miles and topping the tank off until it would take no more each time we consumed 11.1gallons of #2 winter diesel. Just shy of 45mpg. Ambient temperature never went above 15 degrees and was near zero for most of the trip. No special driving technique, the cruise control was set at 70-71mph according to the GPS the majority of the time. I would expect these results to improve significantly once the weather warms up and we get summer diesel again. The car is also much more responsive, turbo lag is almost gone in the low gears and the bump in Horsepower and torque makes the driving experience much closer to some experience I have had with gas turbo charged vehicles.
