Is there an ETA/ preliminary pricing on this kit?

What does it consist of?

In this war of lines, so many have been crossed. Where will it all stop?

We are currently still in development for the Turbo Kit. We are taking a trip out west in mid-august for temperature and speed validation, so the earliest it would be available would be likely early-mid September.

As for kit contents, it will consist of the following:

*New turbocharger (Garrett GT1756V, electrically controlled)
*New exhaust downpipe (you will cut yours in front of the flex coupling and attach the new one)
*New oil feed and drain lines
*New wiring connections

*New ECU reflash (this is necessary for the different operating changes to control the new turbocharger)

A sticky will be posted in this section to outline what the kit will include and more details about the performance enhancements that accompany it.

Sounds good. How is the electrically - operated Garrett an improvement on the OEM turbo - what will the advantages be to fitting it?

Will the reflash be included in the cost of the kit? Do you have any estimates on overall price yet?

The reflash will be included in the price of the kit, but we don't have anything definitive for costs yet.

As for an exhaust, we've seen no benefit whatsoever by going to a larger/catless/mufflerless exhaust. You can spend your money much better elsewhere versus a new exhaust, unless it's something you just can't leave alone.

If a current GDE tune customer wants to upgrade with the turbo kit, we will have a discount to offset a portion of the tuning costs. In this way, if you get the eco-performance tune now, you will have some reimbursement with the purchse of a turbo kit in the future and not have to pay full price.

Now that is funny! Far be it for us to use marketing to lure customers in...stock KJ 0-60 mph in 12 seconds. Stage II KJ 0-60 mph in 8.5 seconds and still improving...it is like buying a new vehicle for a fraction of the cost and still achieves an average of 28-30mpg overall. We had the KJ in 4WD part time at a launch with brake torque and all 4 tires spun!

We don't need no thought control...

The turbo is on back order at the moment. We have secured a supplier to complete all the machining work, so we are just waiting for parts. It may take up to January for kits to be available. Sorry for the delay, but once it is ready it will be worth it!
