Hi Guys, I'm at 96K on one of my CRDs, getting close to timing belt replacement time. Anyone have Mopar numbers for the belt, the tensioner and idle rollers (looks like 2 of them). And Keith, do you still have belts on hand?
Best,
Billy

Unfortunately, we are out of belts at the moment. Not sure about getting more in. The part numbers for timing belt replacement ar as follows:

Timing belt 5142579AA
Idler pulley 5142573AA (2 required)
Tensioner 5142798AA

Good luck with the upcoming job!

Try http://www.vmdieselspecialist.com/. They are based in England but I know a lot of the Aussie guys go to them for the belt and parts. Remember that the KJ is called a Cherokee outside the US. Email first - they sometimes recommend that the water pump is changed at the same time as the belt. Parts are usually cheaper than from Mopar.

one more question, anything else I should think of doing once I open the front to put the timing belt in? ie, Water pump?
