Any chance you guys may be able to crack the TCM code for customized transmission settings? Is it even feasible to do that?

In this war of lines, so many have been crossed. Where will it all stop?

DAMN would I LOVE to not have to rev beyond 62 MPH just to get 5th gear! Frankly its a fuel waster considering how much torque my truck has.

Id pay BUCKS for this option.

At 60 mph I think we are in 5th gear and waiting for the TC to lock. I wonder why the TC can't lock at, say 20 mph? Is the auto trans unable to shift with the TC locked? I would love to convert the OD buton on the gear shifter to a TC lock/unlock switch. And of course to be able to reprogram shift/downshift points. I would desire that even more than the engine tune.

Or better yet, use the gear shifter button for dual shifting programs, one for normal cruising and engaged for trailering. Oh, the sun is shining and I'm drowsey in dream land.

Mostly I dont like having to drive to a faster speed (to get into 5th) than I plan on driving at! It wastes fuel!!! Id like the trans to shift into 5th earlier. I know I have the torque for it so why not?

Would also like to be able to select and hold 4th gear to higher than 57mph for more power towing and less lugging.

Doesn't the overdrive button do exactly that?

I would LOVE to not be in 3rd gear at 25 MPH!! TCM control would be SO nice. The trans. is a good trans. The controller programming is junk.

Our transmissions have a direct drive 1:1 third gear which is enabled by turning off overdrive with the button on the shifter.
They have two overdrive gears (4th and 5th) and there isn't a way to manually select the 4th gear. The extra power at
highway speeds that that gear would provide would be nice for those who tow.
