Hey guys,
Just thought i'd drop in and leave another positive review for the Eco tune. I'm new to the CRD world (did plenty of reading here and elsewhere before picking up my Liberty) but my first planned immediate purchase was the GDE Eco tune. This was for a stock vehicle with around 34k on the odometer. Before the tune, the vehicle was somewhat "unique" in the way the engine responded throughout the throttle range and I really hated that off the gas feeling as well. While livable, i expected the tune to make a big difference.

Swapping ECUs was relatively straightforward but i should have simply just removed my battery to start. Thanks to the thick cable for the remote start (if i remember right) it was nearly impossible to get out! Once everything was hooked back up and the hood was down it was time to fire her up

Immediate impressions:

- sounds more like a diesel oddly enough
- takeoff is smooth and linear, it feels like it should from 0 up to 70+
- rpms hang around the powerband, no more bouncing all the over the place at times
- engine response through throttle range is very predictable
- foot off the gas, doesn't slow down!
- etc!

I don't know if i can feel the extra 30lb ft or not, but in my mind the best improvement is in the overall driving characteristics (and the power will be there when you need it). It's still possible to hit some turbo lag, but it's much improved over pre tune. I'm still on my first tank of fuel with the tune so i can't give any impressions on the mileage, but i highly recommend this. Once i get some more mileage time under the belt i'll report in.

Slightly related, after the tune install i checked my MAP sensor and it was completely crusted over. Got that cleaned up, so now i need to take a look at the Fuel/Water separator, and get my hands on some Samco boost hoses. At that point external mods!
