Hi...

I have had my eye on the Liberty CRD for some time. Now that there are a few in my area in my price range, I've got the choice of an 05 or an 06. I would most likely go for the Eco Tune to maximize mpg. Both the vehicles I'm looking at have had the TC recall work done. I was reading somewhere (on this forum?) that part of the TC/shudder solution was to de-tune the engine a bit and consequently some mpg was lost. Am I recalling this correctly? Would the Eco-Tune then wipe out this de-tuning so that it wouldn't matter whether it was done or not?

I do want to maximize mpg, so it seems that the best alternative is the 2005. What is the main source of the mpg difference between the 2005 and 2006? Sorry if this is covered elsewhere.

Last one.... I've got a water/methanol injection kit that I meant to install on my 98 Suburban 6.5L but never did. Given that the CRD already has an intercooler, maybe this is overkill in the intake cooling dept. But, the methanol could add some extra kick, too. I think they say a 10-15% boost in both mpg and power is typical. I'm guessing it would be a good idea to get an upgraded TC (Mopar?) if I install on the CRD. Any thoughts, GDE or others?

Thanks,
Chris
